A: At BAI, we solidify the schedule for academic courses and BAI artistic programming first. Beginning mid-Spring semester, we will review requests for the following academic year from applicants in the following order of priority:
- Faculty representing the Brown Arts Departments (Africana Studies / Rites and Reason Theatre, History of Art and Architecture, Literary Arts, Modern Culture and Media, Music, Theatre Arts and Performance Studies, Visual Arts).
- Students and Student Groups working in the arts.
In September we will begin reviewing requests from all other campus constituencies.
Within each of these applicant groups, we evaluate requests with the following criteria in mind:
- Space Availability
- Resources available to support the work within that space (i.e. What AV + Tech is required for the event? Does it involve ticketing and/or a public audience?)
- Fit to BAI Mission
