Brown Arts Institute’s curricular platform prepares students to be stewards of creativity, leaders within Brown’s cultural ecology, and practitioners equipped for careers of usefulness and reputation in the arts writ large. Each semester BAI designs interdisciplinary courses to teach students how to be in relation to the creative infrastructure around them, offering pre-professionalizing skills in arts leadership, collaborative practice, and organizational fluency.

Students who enroll in BAI classes actively participate across the full range of BAI programming across exhibitions, the Ruckus Sessions, Rigorously Curated Film Festivals, Prizma Arts and Research Artist Residencies, and more, as interlocutors in and contributors to the cultural life of the Institute.
