Presented in partnership with Brown's Center for the Study of Race and Ethnicity in America

Join Brown alumna Catherine Gund ‘88 for a preview screening of her new film, MEANWHILE, narrated by Jacqueline Woodson.  In this groundbreaking, immersive, nonlinear cinematic journey, artists' expressions blend with historical and observational footage to unveil the profound impact of white supremacy on our human connections.

Led by the dynamic team of Jacqueline Woodson, Meshell Ndegeocello, Erika Dilday, Mar Trevino, and Catherine Gund, this collaborative masterpiece weaves together diverse visions, poignantly sharing how race, racism, and resistance shape our collective breath, not just in moments of crisis, but in the enduring, pervasive legacy of that risk.

Post-screening conversation introduced by Professor Tricia Rose (director, CSREA), featuring Catherine Gund (director), Erika Dilday (producer) and Professor Enongo Lumumba-Kasongo (Advisor).
