Grants for Students

Student grants support creative experimentation and scholarship through research, presentations and projects.

The Brown Arts Institute Student Grants Program provides funding for student projects that involve the production, study and/or critique of the creative arts, especially projects that might not be possible without financial assistance.
The David Dornstein ’85 Artist Grant is conceived to provide resources for exceptional and unique projects that serve as a “next step” for graduating seniors or graduate students. Please note the deadline for FY24 has passed. Rising Juniors and Graduate students entering their final year in September 2024 can apply for the FY25 cycle. Dates will be announced in September 2024.
To continue to support faculty and student projects and programs throughout the semester, the BAI offers a number of small grant opportunities available on a rolling basis.
