The Studio 4 Creative Production is a reservable studio equipped with a variety of tools. Whether you are interested in photography, video, performance, critique, sound art, projection mapping, installation or something else, the studio can provide you with the space to achieve your creative goals.

The Creative Arts and Technology Spaces
The Creative Arts and Technology Spaces at the Brown Arts Institute provide the campus community with inclusive, adaptive, and experimental spaces equipped with emerging technology to support creative digital work. We embrace thinking through making as a powerful approach to design and learning.
The studio has a variety of media production tools at the ready to support art installation, audio, photography, VR and more.
After completing a training users can reserve the studio in blocks up to 6 hours. Find out more about training.

There are many ways you can use the Studio 4 Creative Production these are just four of them. We prototypes set ups for three-point lighting, eight-channel audio installation, green screen, and an overhead camera rig. You can use any or none of these setups when you get trained on the studio.

During Brown’s Staff Development Day in June 2025, Leo Selvaggio and Kelly Egan led a workshop in which staff could learn about 3D scanning and leave with a 3D scan of themselves.
