Sophia LaCava-Bohanan
Biography
Sophia LaCava-Bohanan has worked in cultural institutions for more than 15 years supporting artists, engaging audiences, leading public programs, and building sustainable relationships with community-based organizations. Early in her career Sophia worked with institutions including Smith College Museum of Art, Studio Museum in Harlem, the LeWitt Foundation, and Mass MoCA, before becoming Assistant Director of In-Sight Photography and Exposures Cross-Cultural Youth Arts Program. She received her BA from Smith College, and earned a MA in Public Humanities from Brown University where she was a Fellow with the Creative Arts Council. Sophia has served as staff with Brown Arts Initiative and now the Brown Arts Institute since 2015.
