Kevin Assam

The BAI teams up with FirstWorks and Brown's Theatre Arts & Performance Studies Department to bring Taylor Mac and entourage to Providence, RI Sept 12-15 in an artist's residency, including an abridged performance of Mac's critically acclaimed A 24-Decade History of Popular Music. In this Options Magazine interview, Mac talks with journalist Kevin Assam about life, work and the show that "isn’t really so much about history as it is pointing out that we have all this history on our backs and we are figuring out what to do with it."

For more information on the residency components, see the BAI website. For tickets to the performance, go to FirstWorks' website. All events are open to the public.
