Brown Arts

Artistic Innovators | Collective

A fluid group of around forty artists from across the globe who regularly engage with Brown in a variety of ways.

The Artistic Innovators Collective is a fluid group of around forty artists from across the globe who regularly engage with Brown in a variety of ways:  to push the boundaries of discipline, to teach, to work, to experiment, to safely fail and take risks, to undertake rigorous and long-term exchange with our campus and surrounding communities.

Members Collectively Value:

  • Building connections between like-minded/spirited artists and creative people
  • A slow evolution towards the formation of a meaningful, impactful entity representing the acknowledged needs and expansive dreams of artists at different levels of accomplishment
  • Mutual acknowledgment that we are complex beings navigating complex worlds, each with complex pasts and complex futures

Membership in the Artistic Innovators Collective is evolving and ongoing. Below please find a few examples of recent Innovator projects, teaching, campus research and project development. Stay tuned for more projects on the horizon!
