Nona Hendryx, an American vocalist, songwriter, and multimedia artist, has made a profound impact on the music industry with her unique sound and style. Her career began as a founding member of Labelle, achieving fame with the No.1 worldwide hit “Lady Marmalade,” and she has since forged a successful solo career, marked by top ten hits and a Grammy nomination. Her work extends beyond music to activism, advocating for social justice and women's rights, and promoting STEM education for young women of color through her nonprofit SisterSMATR.org. A pioneer in merging art with technology, Hendryx leads in the realm of afrofuturism, crafting captivating XR installations that weave together Artificial Intelligence, Augmented Reality, and Virtual Reality.
