The Jabberwocks are delighted and deeply honored to be holding our annual Family Weekend Concert in the Main Hall of The Lindemann this year! We’d like to extend our sincere gratitude to the Brown Arts Institute for making our vision of performing in such a remarkable space come to life, and to everyone whose hours of dedicated work made this evening possible.

Since 1949, The Jabberwocks have been committed to a cappella excellence at the highest level, from performing across Brown’s campus to competing at the International Championship of Collegiate A Cappella. At this special event during Family Weekend, we’re especially thrilled to introduce our new ‘Wocklings’ and share a combination of fresh repertoire alongside group classics.

Our 77-year history reflects a tradition of building community through innovative arrangements and joyful performances, and we are so grateful and excited to share this tradition with you!

About The Jabberwocks of Brown University

Courtesy of the Gilman School

In 1949, four Brown University students broke away from the traditional Men’s Glee Club to form their own independent singing group, The Jabberwocks of Brown University, making us the oldest a cappella group at Brown. With powerful musical performances regularly rehearsed and reimagined, the Jabberwocks remain committed to pushing the envelope of a cappella excellence. The 'Wocks have had multiple tracks featured on the Best of Collegiate A Cappella (BOCA) albums, have been honored repeatedly in the CARA awards, have competed and placed in the International Championship of Collegiate A Cappella, and have toured all over the world. 76 years later, the Jabberwocks’ long-standing tradition of excellence remains strong.
