Africana Studies/Rites & Reason Theatre
A contemporary reimagining, restaging and celebration of The Providence Garden Blues, a 1970s play by George Houston Bass, based on oral histories with Providence seniors, that traces one African American family's fight to stop the destruction of their home on the city's Eastside.

History of Art & Architecture
Light in Theory and Practice: A lecture series on the role of light in art and architecture from antiquity to the present—as an artistic medium, an epistemological metaphor, and a condition of possibility for seeing and being seen. The series culminates in a symposium with contemporary practitioners in order to celebrate Leo Villareal's luminous art installation at The Lindemann.

Literary Arts
A series of events highlighting the work of writers, artists, and poets around themes of ecoarts and ecopoetics; writing and improvisational performance;  the intersections of literary art and music; and collaborative literary artists in performance including: the social, political, and artistic publishing movement of Argentina’s cartonera.

Modern Culture & Media
The launch of the Elemental Media Lab (EML) that will ignite and expand how we perceive and understand media environments and the arts at Brown and far beyond, culminating in the MCM Media Ecologies and Infrastructures Conference 2024.

Music
Three performance-residencies that cross disciplinary boundaries to explore ways in which music forms community, cultivates creative expression, and examines the relationship of humans to their physical and spiritual environments.

Theatre Arts & Performance Studies
A unifying two-day gathering of cutting-edge performing artists and scholars highlighting the integration of practice and theory in the Theatre Arts and Performance Studies Department curriculum, which spans the disciplines of theater, dance, playwriting, the art of stagecraft, and scholarship.

Visual Art
An exhibition and series of performative interventions and dialogs in a pop-up space in Providence’s Jewelry District, speaking to the themes of Cultivating Creative Expression and Exploring Human Experience.
