Laura Brown-Lavoie is a poet and farmer. Standing barefoot in the muck of the field, her attention is to history— how she got here, a descendant of Europeans, and what we did when we came. Her teachers are other poets, land stewards, plants, bodies of water, the wise dead. Laura's occupation is to build an ever more unified healing practice— plant medicine, poem medicine, birth work, painting, song, teaching, and performance— the artist as self-healing, and in service to the health of the collective.
During the festival Laura Brown-Lavoie will present a work in process reading of Club Desire.
