Taking full advantage of the University's open curriculum, BAI builds on Brown's reputation as a destination for arts exploration, contributing to cultural enterprise through the integration of theory and practice, with an emphasis on innovation and discovery that results from rigorous scholarship, art-making and experimentation.
Below are the submission windows for our 2026-2027 AY Grants:
- Fall 2026 Grants:
- BAI Student Grants: September 11, 2026 - October 2, 2026
- Faculty Rolling Grants: November 16, 2026 - April 9, 2027 (or until all funds are exhausted).
- Spring 2027 Grants:
- BAI Student Grants: January 29, 2027 - February 19, 2027
- Faculty Grants:
- Rolling Grants (Continued through Spring): November 16, 2026 - April 9, 2027 (or until all funds are exhausted).
- Research & Development Grants: January 29, 2027 - February 26, 2027
- Fitt Artist-in-Residence Grants: January 29, 2027 - February 26, 2027
Student grants support creative experimentation and scholarship through research, presentations and projects.
