The Anime Video Game Ensemble is proud to present Spring Concert 2026 in The Lindemann’s Main Hall! The program begins with their Small Ensembles–featuring rock bands, chamber groups, and everything in between. This will be followed by AVGE’s Large Ensemble, their symphonic orchestra featuring over a hundred student performers.

Welcome to the Brown X RISD Anime Video Game Ensemble (AVGE)—a premier, student-led musical collective uniting the creative talents of Brown University and the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD).

Founded in the Spring of 2022 by a visionary group of musicians, AVGE was born from a shared mission: to elevate and redefine the artistry of anime and video game soundtracks—genres often underrepresented in traditional orchestral settings. From the sweeping waltzes of Merry-Go-Round of Life (Howl’s Moving Castle) to the nostalgic complexity of Fountain of Dreams (Super Smash Bros. Melee) and the poignant intimacy of Duet (Omori), we breathe new life into the modern classics of digital culture.

Today, AVGE has evolved into a dynamic interdisciplinary community of over 80 talented musicians. Our ensemble serves as a high-caliber platform for soloists, chamber performers, and large-scale orchestral players, supported by a dedicated team of student arrangers who transcribe and reimagine these iconic scores for the stage.
