Scandalous Conduct: A Fairy Extravaganza
Conceived and created by Jason Tranchida and Matthew Lawrence

An experimental musical documentary addressing homophobia and military surveillance by reconstructing the 1919 Newport Navy vaudeville staging of Jack and the Beanstalk and juxtaposing with archival narratives of the 1919 entrapment scandal. Conceived and curated by Jason Tranchida and Matthew Lawrence (Providence-based artist duo, co-curators of Headmaster).

Courtyards: Pansori Loop
Conceived and created by Mary-Kim Arnold and Bonnie Jones

A multidisciplinary work that reimagines pansori (a traditional Korean musical form that combines improvisation, song, story, and gesture). Curated by Mary-Kim Arnold (author, artist, and educator) and Bonnie Jones (Providence-based composer and writer).

An Activation by the Haus of Glitter
Conceived and created by The Haus of Glitter Dance Company + Performance Lab + Preservation Society

A multidisciplinary research, performance, and community curriculum disrupts and transform the commemoration of Esek Hopkins, who was hired by the Brown brothers to command the horrific voyage of the slavery ship “Sally.” Proposed and created by the five co-founders and co-directors of The Haus of Glitter: Assitan Coulibaly, Anthony "AM." Andrade, Steven Choummalaithong, Trent Lee, & Matthew Garza ’11.

Panther Art: The Work of Pleasant View Elementary School

Conceived and created by Laura Brown-Lavoie and Kei Soares Cobb

A multidisciplinary project involving the inaugural tree-planting of The Emergent Forest — a Providence nonprofit dedicated to planting urban food forests — and an Emergent Forest podcast series, hosting guest speakers and community dialogue. Curated by Laura Brown-Lavoie (poet and farmer) and Kei Soares Cobb (composer, choreographer, and Afrofuturist artist-healer).

(Machine) Learning to Be
Conceived and created by Ioana Jucan and Company

A hybrid (online and in-person) performance blending theater, dance, hip hop, and artistic experiments with machine learning to explore alternative modes of engaging with our data-filled world and possibilities of more equitable futures alongside AI. Curated by Ioana Jucan with Enongo Lumumba-Kasongo (Assistant Professor, Music; performs as SΔMMUS), and others.
