RaMell Ross, 250th Anniversary Professor of the Practice, 2016-17

RaMell Ross is a Providence, RI-based writer, photographer, filmmaker and Mellon Gateway Fellow and assistant professor in Brown's Visual Art Department. His work has been exhibited nationally and internationally, and published by The New York Times, The Washington Post, and Oxford America. He has received grants from the Sundance Institute and Tribeca Film Institute for his experimental documentary, Hale County This Morning, This Evening, which premiered at the Sundance Festival in 2018; he also received a 2016 Aaron Siskind Individual Photographer Fellowship.
