The Brown Arts Initiative Student Grants Program provides funding for student projects that involve the production, study and/or critique of the creative arts, especially projects that might not be possible without financial assistance. Projects can be from any arts discipline or across disciplines — all media (physical, virtual, performance, video, etc.) are eligible for funding. No arts background is necessary.
In this current cycle, BAI is excited to partner with the Department of Visual Art to encourage the development of new artwork. In place of the Annual Juried Exhibition this year, a jurying committee composed of Department of Visual Art Undergraduate Group leaders (DUGs) and BAI student representatives will award funding to support the creation of new works: the Creative Artwork Grant. The application for the Creative Artwork Grant is housed within the student grant application in UFunds. (Please note - the total amount awarded will not exceed the original grant request.)
Temporary Changes Due to COVID Please note that student projects must abide by Brown University and Student Activities Office (SAO) COVID guidelines, and applicants will be asked to explain how their projects follow these guidelines in their application. |
