Students

The Brown Arts Student Council (BASC) serves as the student voice of the arts on campus. Working in conjunction with the BAI Executive Committee, the BASC brings together students from all disciplines and departments to promote access and support for student artmaking. In addition to helping to develop University policy influencing the co-curricular arts, the BASC is responsible for:

  • Jurying Student Grants Program applications and tracking grant recipients
  • Planning the Fall MESH events and the Spring Arts Festival
  • Establishing communication among disciplines in the arts
  • Representing student needs to the BAI Executive Committee
